Dr. Adhiraj Roy

The Driver of Roy Lab AKA the PI :)

I love and live by research!

Driven by over 15 years of global research experience across premier institutions in India and the United States, my research program focuses on cancer cell signaling, translational oncology, and targeted therapeutics. As a recipient of the prestigious DBT-Ramalingaswami Re-entry Fellowship, Govt. of India (2019), I lead an independent molecular oncology laboratory dedicated to deciphering the role of Protein Kinase D (PKD) signaling and tumor microenvironment interactions in aggressive cancers, particularly epithelial ovarian and metastatic prostate adenocarcinomas.

I am an Academician too.

With extensive pedagogical and administrative experience, I am committed to fostering rigorous scientific training, innovative curriculum design, and academic leadership. I have served as Program Leader for multiple undergraduate and postgraduate programs, where I conceptualized and launched specialized curricula such as the B.Sc. (Hons) Medical Laboratory Technology program. My teaching portfolio spans a wide range of advanced courses in molecular biology, medical genetics, diagnostics, and oncology across Ph.D., M.Sc., and B.Sc. levels. Beyond the classroom, I actively contribute to institutional governance through roles in the Board of Studies, Internal Quality Assurance Cell, and Research Advisory Board, while supervising numerous Ph.D., postgraduate, and undergraduate dissertations to mentor the next generation of biomedical scientists.
